Eid Outfit

Assalamu'alaikum sistahs! This is a very late post but I wanted to do it anyway. Firstly, Eid mubarak, hope you all had a fantastic Eid! Eid was amazing, me and my family went Westfield. This is the outfit I wore for the day. This dress is what my mum made as she is great at sewing and she makes clothes. It's a simple purple net long dress. I wore leggings with it and these heels from Deichmann look fab. I wore a waist belt that I got from New Look and the bracelet is from Next. It's a very simple outfit but looks super elegant and looks like I have done a lot. If you would like to see how I done my makeup that day just drop me an email and I will get back to you.

My Eyebrow Routine

Assalamu'alaikum sistahs! Today I am going to be doing my eyebrow routine as I get complimented a lot on the way I do my eyebrows so I thought I should share it with you beauties. So, I do my own eyebrows as I prefer it more than having someone else do my eyebrows because I get full control over what I am doing and I get to choose how much hair I remove and what shape I want. I do them slightly thin. I do my eyebrows once a week but if I have any hairs that make my eyebrows look out of shape I remove that. Then I outline my eyebrows with the Yardley Eyebrow pencil in Black 01 which is the best eyebrow pencil ever... no joke! Its probably one of my favourite makeup items ever! Its so pigmented and does the job perfectly. The shade also matches my eyebrow colour perfectly. The pencil is so small now because I have used it so much. Then I fill in my eyebrows with the kiss and makeup eye and lip palette from Debenhams. I use the darkest shade in the palette which as you can see is the far right colour. It is super pigmented and my matches my eyebrow colour perfectly. I just use the angled eyeliner brush to apply it. A dupe to this exact shade would be Bobbi Brown in Espresso. Then I use the MAC studio finish conceal to clear up any mess created and give that perfect eyebrow shape. My concealer is in the shade NW25 and I just use the lip brush to apply it. Then I do the rest of my makeup as I start off with my eyebrows first. What products do you use?

Skincare Routine

Assalamu'alaikum sistahs! Today, I am going to be doing a post on my skincare routine. So, I would say I suffer from problematic skin, I have oily-combo skin and I can tell you it is the hardest thing taking care of my skin. I have tried so many products to help my skin. Having problematic skin also means that my skin reacts to some products in unpleasant ways so I have to be careful with what I use too. This is my current skincare routine as my skin care is always always changing as my skin does as it pleases. At the moment, this is what seems to be working for me. So I switch between two face washes every two days. I use the simple moisturising facial wash on days where my skin is not too bad as it is very gentle on the face and doesn't make my skin react to it. Nothing too special about it but I would recommend it if your skin is super sensitive and reacts to almost anything. And then I have my life-saving face wash which I really really adore, Clean & Clear exfoliating daily wash, for days when my skin is out of control and has gone crazy. I love this face wash because it is so gentle to my skin, it has small micro beads in it too which exfoliates the skin and instantly I can feel that my skin has been cleaned out properly. It also makes my skin feel so much smoother and softer. After I use this face wash my skin has a natural glow. I really love it. I use it two times a day. The next product in my skincare routine it the Nivea Visage Gentle Refreshing toner which is absolutely amazing, it removes any excess makeup or impurities making your skin completely clear. It also smells so amazing and it is perfect for everyday use. It makes my skin feel fresh and hydrated. I also use the skin therapy cleansing lotion, it removes any excess makeup and mascara, it is moisturising and cleanses my skin. Nothing too special about that either but I use it anyway. Lastly, what I use to remove my makeup are the Pampers baby wipes as they are so much more gentle than makeup removing wipes, they are super soft and make my skin feel smooth like a baby's bottom. I find that it also removes more makeup than regular makeup removing wipes. Those are the main products I use to take care of my skin however I also think it is important to moisturize your skin and keep it hydrated. I don't use any special moisturiser, I just pick up whatever moisturiser I can find and it does the job. You should also drink plenty of water as being healthy and hydrated on the inside means it will show on the outside. I also wash my face with just water as many times in a day as I can as it is a natural source and gentle to the skin. That's all I really do, what do you do to take care of your skin?

What's In My Bag | 2014

Assalamu'alaikum sistahs! Today I am going to do a post on what I carry in my bag. I personally don't like carrying around bags because its so much work and I am lazy but bags are a great way to spice up your outfit and useful for carrying around essentials. This is a small clutch style bag from River Island as I hate carrying oversized bags especially because I am a small person and it hides me. River Island have some great handbags. Anyway, obviously you want to carry a purse inside to carry your money and credit cards etc. I carry earphones as it is very useful for when you go out and you feel like watching a video or listening to Qur'an. And us ladies as hijabis we need our hijab pins for emergencies so I carry a spare pack with me. I need some of the basics like moisturizing cream, lip balm stuff and tissues. Oh and I have this little tub of vaseline which is soo cute its unbelievable, my mum got it on holiday. You need hand gel to kill the bacteria after touching something or if you are out to eat, using this stuff is helpful. And lastly, a pack of gum just to be sure my breath smells nice all the time. That's it really, pretty boring but thats what I carry in my bag. What else do you carry?

My Hijab Story

Assalamu'alaikum sisters! Today, I am going to tell the story of what made me want to wear the hijab. I just started wearing it a month ago. I can tell you I was really scared about it and what people would think but it does not matter anyway. I am happy with what I did and I will never regret. As long as Allah s.w.t is happy with me who cares what others think. I was born a muslim and I grew up in a religious family but I have never been forced to wear a hijab because it means much more when you choose to do it yourself and if your parents encouraged you to wear it you should be thankful towards them for teaching you the right thing. Anyway, I go to a public school and I am a very self-concious person. I really care about what others think so the thought had never occured to me plus I am a very fashionable girl. One day, I was just looking at lectures of women in Islam on youtube and I realised hijab is compulsary its not a choice. Allah s.w.t stated it in the Qur'an. So I started thinking about wearing it myself. Even then, I just though I'm not ready yet but to be honest if you keep saying that you will never be ready. You just have to do it. So I told my mum I wanted to wear the hijab and she was so proud of me she started tearing up ... happy tears obviously! The first time I put on the hijab was to the dentist and it was amazing, now I wear it everywhere! Its the best decision I have ever made honestly. Sometimes, it gets hot but I can deal with that, as long as Allah s.w.t is happy with me. So to all the ladies who don't wear a hijab, go ahead and wear it. Your a muslimah, show it to the world, be proud of it, your lucky to be a muslim, embrace it. Don't act like the disbelievers, we're special. Plus styling your hair is one less problem to worry about. And to those ladies thinking about wearing it but 'think' they're not ready yet, YOU ARE READY! JUST DO IT! If you keep saying that you will never put it on. You will regret it later.
